New year, same you! 🤩
Dec 27, 2022It's almost 2023, so like most people, you're probably receiving a flood of messages along the lines of "NEW YEAR NEW YOU!"
So...hi! 🙋🏻♀️
I'm here to remind you that:
You don't have to change.
You don't have to be a new person to be worthy of love.
📣 Habit changes don't have a moral bearing on whether or not you deserve happiness. (Read that one again)
And also...
It's ok if a fresh planner inspires new hope, creativity, and curiosity for you. (Honestly, me too!)
If you enjoy setting intentions for the new year, go for it!
But I've got a big invite for you to go about this in a different way:
❌ Instead of a deficit approach, in other words, starting from "where am I failing," try this -
What are small ways that I can start to better nourish myself?
💃🏻 If you want to integrate more movement into your life, let it be because it feels nourishing.
🫧 If you want to find new ways to organize your schedule, let it be to reduce your mental load.
😻 If you want to carve out time for building new professional connections, let it be to create nourishing friendships with those who share your values.
tl;dr no more shoulds in your resolutions, my friend.
You've got this.
